Step 1: Configure the Project SLA
First, you need to define the SLA timeline and the alert trigger at the project level.
Navigate to Project Settings and select the Project Details tab.
Scroll down to the SLA at the bottom of the page.
Configure the following two fields:
Days to Process SLA: Enter the total number of business days your organization commits to for processing a draw. This defines the official SLA.
Process Days Remaining Alert: Enter the number of days remaining on an SLA when you want to trigger an email notification. For example, setting this to
3
will send an alert when a draw has only 3 days left to be processed.
Step 2: Enable Personal Notifications
After the project SLA is set, each user who wants to receive alerts must enable the notification in their personal settings.
Navigate to your user profile settings.
Select the Notifications tab.
Find and toggle on the option: "Draw is Approaching SLA Commitments".
Note: To prevent receiving alerts for draws that are on hold or not actively being worked on, you can change the draw's status to Paused. The system will not send SLA notifications for draws in this status.
Step 3: Understanding the SLA Alert Email
Once enabled, you will receive a daily email digest with the following details:
Timing: The email is sent once daily at 4:00 AM ET.
Content: The email contains a list of all active draws that have met the alert threshold you set (e.g., have 3 or fewer days remaining).
Scope: You will only be notified about draws for projects to which you have access.
Step 4: Viewing the SLA Overview Report
The alert email includes a direct link to a detailed report for easy monitoring.
Click the link in the email to go directly to the Reports > Draws tab, with the SLA Overview selected.
This report displays relevant columns, such as
Days to Process
(your total SLA commitment) andSLA Days Remaining
.You can add filters to this view to customize the report as needed.
